Guys,

I know ppl here will be busy with the results. I'm planning to give a shot at Wharton in round 2.

I have a doubt if someone can help me. I did my Engineering from India with English as a medium of instruction.

Been working at London for the last 5 years and under all these circumstances do I need to take a TOEFL to apply to Wharton ?

Your responses will surely help me.

Thanks

Me! Chinese track. I'm definitely matriculating and have a lot of paperwork to look through over the holiday break! Looking forward to welcome weekend in February

So according to beatthegmat (I'm using their stats because I find them easier to interpret than our spreadsheet), here are the numbers. This is the split of 81 applicants who interviewed:

Accepted: 20
Waitlisted: 15
Rejected: 12
No Status: 34

If we exclude those who have not updated their status, we get an interview-accept rate of 43% and an interview-WL rate of 32%. I read somewhere that ~40% of those interviewed typically get in, so I think this is in the ballpark. It's a bit high because those who did not update their status are more likely to be a WL or reject than an accept.

In any case, with 30% of interviewed candidates sitting on the waitlist, it seems the odds are pretty thin for us. Onto round 2...

I, too, have been looking at the cost. It's interesting how we went from worrying about getting in to fretting about the cost, once we got in, lol...

It sounds like Wharton is trying to do a better job of communicating with their waitlist this year....just got an email from them saying that there will be regular updates on the third Friday of every month, which is nice.

Guys, think of this as an option. You are buying an in-the-money option no matter the volatility.

Guys, need your help. I'm an international applicant. I've received Wharton offer with no $ and Darden offer with full scholarship. If I want to work in the US after b-school, which offer should I take? Thanks!!!

In this case I would recommend you to visit both schools and try to see which one is a better fit for you. I know school's ranking and financial support are important but as far as I'm concerned perfect fit in business school is essential.
