got an invite, registered for London...
but not sure whether to go. Just accidentally noticed on their site that they do not provide loans without US cosigner, while I was more that sure they do.
Can someone confirm that they canceled this option?
what the hell!!! when did they change that!
https://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/admiss ... ograms.cfmI feel sort of defrauded. If i knew that I wouldnt have applied and I clearly remember when they visited here saying that they only require the students to provide 10% of the total cost, and I remembered I checked their website before applying
Yes, this is a very recent outcome.
Wharton has had a break in the tie-up that they had for intl students for non-cosignor loans. Even the current students have been asked to look at other options. I think they have an obligation till Feb2012 i.e. this month. After that, all students will have to fend for themselves. I was told about this by one of their 1st year students during a coffee chat in Dec.
However, I hope that they are able to iron out the differences and resume the loans. Else, a very very small percentage of us would be able to afford to study at Wharton.
Hoping for the best,
Sam
