i am sure there will be plenty of invites tomorrow. i had to confirm my interview registration by last sunday, so they must be filling up slots where people did not reply by deadline. Besides the recently opened campus invitations...

good luck everyone!

WHARTON INTERVIEW FORMAT

same as last year, 3 questions, blah, blah, blah --altho questions are different. At least that is what clients are reporting to me.

Sandy - How different are the questions? Same style?

Also, do you know if less interview invites went out this year?
\

Totally the same, tell me about a time you did blah, blah under blah, blah circumstances, what happened, what did you do and say, how would act differently in a do over, what did other peeps say, etc. best thing you can do is just come up 8 solid team, leadership, initiative, setback etc. stories and adapt them to the Q.

fyi, full set of last year's questions are here

https://poetsandquants.com/2010/11/21/le ... al-issues/

a story that will no doubt be rewritten as the same thing happens again.

dunno if more or less invites going out, but they do send a lot in last coupla days.

Hi Sandy - how did you find out that a lot of invites are sent out in the last few days? do you know if they're mostly to applicants from the US?

My optimism dwindles with each day that goes by without an invite. :(

So, 11/11/11 will be Wharton's D day. Let's hope this D does not mean DING.

Is 11 anyone's lucky number?

The first full report is now up on the Clear admit wiki. It includes 3 behavioral questions as well as walk me through your resume and Why Wharton? Without further public reports, I can't say whether these two non-behavioral questions are optional or standard or whether the report was inaccurate. That said, during their interview chat, Wharton adcom emphasized knowing the resume.

what are the odds of getting an invite vs. ding (excl. waitlist) tomorrow?

i think it should be ~14% shot -->> 10/70 odds based on 40% total invited and 75% already invited

Thanks guys.

It seems like the interview questions are going to be similar, with just a few word changes.

I think if we have 3-4 stories about conflict, leadership, change in opinions, we should be able to answer any of the 3 behavoral questions.

My concern is about the 'walk me through your resume' question. I was advised to go a little in depth, specially when discussing the skills I gained a long the way through the years of WE. However, the analysis posted seems to say that we should only quickly go over the resume without going too in depth? Any input?

PS. Good luck to everyone waiting today. I'm pretty sure a lot of invites will come out!!

start with the 1-2 minute version. guaranteed that they will ask follow-ups. just make sure you touch on the things that they are looking for: innovation, team leadership, etc.

All the best to those that are waiting to hear from Wharton. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be, else...well..

All can look at the brighter side. The wait will finally be over and we can focus on our R2 apps and other R1 interviews. Stay focused on those. Some great school out there is eagerly waiting to have you in its class.

Those that do get invites today, it was definitely worth the wait. All the best for your interviews.

Booked my on campus interview for Friday 18th of November since the HUB spots in London were gone when I got around to booking. A bit of a PITA to fly across the Atlantic for a 30min interview. Has anyone seen any info on why alumni interviews were abandoned and if the school is now happier with their admits after the change?
