Adcom opens up new slots each time a wave of interview invites goes out so that the early dates are filled by the first wave, the next dates by the second wave, etc. I was in the first wave R1 and I only had 3 dates to choose from, all very early. More opened up later for the later waves.

were you able to reschedule for new dates when they opened more up, or know of anyone who did? i currently am faced with this problem, there are now more dates available that are suitable for me than there were last week, but i'm not sure we can reschedule cause the email said we had a deadline of the 3rd Feb (for 1st wave) to confirm our interviews.

Isn't there an option to "cancel" or "update" your interview? If I remember correctly, I saw them under the My Calender page.
Hey guys, who were admitted in round 1, do you have any tips for the group discussions? Any help is much appreciated.
Prepare how? Are you expected to support your assertions with personal anecdotes, facts / trends, or both?

The kind of support matters less than the fact of actually being able to well support your ideas; just like in any debate or strategy meeting at work. As long as you aren't pulling things from thin air without support you should be fine.
I disagree on it requiring preparation. You'll build off each other's ideas, just come up with a decent answer for each prompt. It was very obvious who prepared a speech in my group and it came off as a canned response.

That's a good point; though I don't advocate preparing a "speech". That will come across as a bit shallow and rehearsed. Preparing with facts and support arguments is something different. Those can be peppered naturally into the conversation as needed. To each his/her own though. Everyone should do what works for them. Preparing by having some great data and info to share helped for me. Either way, they are looking more for behavior and how someone contributes to a group than anything. I think that will ring true one way or the other regardless of knowledge. Information doesn't change personalities.

Exactly. Again, R2 has a LOT of applicants. About 65% of the class will come from this round.
And based on what have happened, I guess they release invites once a week (today). If that's true, those who have not received an invite can expect nothing until next Tuesday.

No that one day invite per week theory does not seem to be true this time around. Last week they sent out invites on almost all the working days. So in this situation we can continue hoping. I am yet waiting for my first invite, and its painful. I am the typical high Gmat, low gpa candidate international candidate.
I got it yesterday and I think invites will keep going out in next few weeks. Btw HCM requires a separate 30min one-on-one interview with the department. They can usually do it on the same day of the group interview if you make it on-campus.

Have any HCM applicants been invited to interview for R2 already? I am getting antsy with all this waiting!
Invited Got the invite around midnight, servers hung-up and by early morning, all but one slot in India were full ! Hope they open up more slots in Mumbai.
Anyone started to prep yet? Ive been preoccupied with my other interviews so haven't had a chance yet -- would love to know how everyone is finding the TBD prep.
Out of curiosity (and in preparation for my invite.. ) - for those who have been invited to interview and are doing so on-campus - are interview dates exclusive to weekdays, or are weekend interviews an option as well?
Also curious to see how HCM applicants are faring?

I'm a R2, HCM applicant, invited to interview on Feb 6th. Will interview on campus, both on the same day. I believe that the admission rate for HCM applicants is similar to for non-HCM ones, meaning there's no advantage or disadvantage.
