Hey Everyone,

Most topics being discussed are for FT program applications. I wanted to get a sense of what to expect in the next few days as an EMBA waitlisted applicant.

I'm waitlisted for Wharton EMBA R2. I replied in time (by 4/7), formally asking to remain on the WL.

Any other Wharton EMBA WL applicants here? Please share your thoughts.

I heard from the ad com that R2 was one their most competitive ever. Lots of people from the previous year deferred so, there were fewer spots and there were really great applicants. A few people from the WL always get though, but it can be last minute-as in a few days before classes start. Best wishes.

Thanks! Did you hear it personally or through the grapevine? Assuming I get in, the logistics are unclear to me. Do a few days before the program commencement provide enough time to apply and get a student loan approved?

Finally, what does 'a few days' translate to? A couple of weeks?

I heard directly that R2 was very competitive this year. And I know people last from year who joined pretty close to the start when people deferred because of COVID. I would just try to reach the ad com and see what they have to say. I think there were probably standard processes in place for years and everything suddenly changed with COVID, adding lots of uncertainty.
