Hello,
I wrote asking about the same yesterday as well.

Is it worth allocating my attention to IR while I'm running on a deadline to complete my GMAT.

Should I just focus on quant and verbal sections?

Hi billionaire999,

When you are running short of time and when there's still some work to do with respect to Quant and Verbal, then better focus on Quant and Verbal. You can go through the article below to understand better.

Do IR and AWA Scores Matter on GMAT?

Hope it helped. Feel free to get in touch if you have any more queries related to the study strategy or GMAT.

Hi billionaire999

The good news is that many topics tested in IR actually stem from quant and verbal. So, if you feel good about the quant and verbal sections, IR should not be super difficult for you. Thus, rather than skipping IR prep all together, once you complete your quant and verbal prep, make sure you practice a good number of IR questions, so you get familiar with those question types. That way you at least have a shot of getting a decent IR score.

I covered this topic during a YouTube session with seven of the T-15 schools. The consensus was that an IR won't disqualify you if you don't score well, but you should always try your hardest and you should never leave it blank.
