What is the maximum length of a rod, with marginal thickness, that can be kept in a rectangular box B?

It has to be the diagonal of the box, so we require $$\sqrt{L^2+B^2+H^2}$$

(1) The length of the box is 6 and the height is 5
Insufficient

(2) The breadth of the box is 4 and the height is 5
We don't know the length
Insufficient

Combined
All three dimensions known
Sufficient
