Question stem:- What is the surface area of a given cylinder?
Or, $$2*\pi*r(r+h)=?$$
We require unique value of r and h?

St1:-The radius is twice the height.
The value of r or h is not provided.
insufficient.

St2:- The circumference of the cylinder is 6π
Or, $$2\pi*r=6\pi$$
The value of r can be determined. still we don't know the value of h.
insufficient.

Combined, from st2 we know the value of r. from st1, h=r/2.
So surface area can be determined.

Ans. (C)

This is a simple one.

We need the radius and height to find the surface area.

(1) Tells us the ratio of radius and height only. [INSUFFICIENT]

(2) Radius can be found from the circumference but not the height. [INSUFFICIENT]

TOGETHER

We have the radius from statement 2, and the ratio in statement 1 helps calculate height.
