Does it have to be specifically mentioned in the question that each coin weighs the same, for us to consider that fact?
Because, if we assume that each coin weighs the same, both statement would alone be sufficient. No ?

What you are saying is a specific case of identical coins, and it must be mentioned in the question - otherwise we cannot assume it
