What is the value of y?

Stat1: |x + 9| = y; although, we can say y> =0, but, we don't know about x. So, we can't get value of y. Not sufficient

Stat2: \(y^2\) = 9; y = +3, -3. Not sufficient

Combining both, y =3. Sufficient

So, I think C. :)

y can be +3 or -3

Combined Y is positive from statement 1 and y is +3

So C is the right answer
