What is the value of y ?

(1) y is an odd integer between 28 and 34.

(2) 31 < y < 36

we are looking for the value of y.

Statement 1:

y = odd integer
y = 29 , 31 , 33

NOT sufficient. There are 2 odd integers.

Statement 2 :

y = 32, 33 , 34 , 35 ,

Not Sufficient.

Combining both Statements :

There is a only number that fits in both condition . So, 33 is the value of y.

Thus the best answer is C.
