Applying 1 to the equation, we get -4x -x^2.
Applying 2 to the equation, we get -5x -x^2 -4.

Since we only substituted for y, both these values must be same. Hence we can form the equation
-4x -x^2 = -5x -x^2 -4
Solving for x,
X = -4
Applying this value for x, we can derive the required value.

So both options 1 and 2 are necessary

Answer- Option C

to find the value of the expression we need
1# exact value of x,y
2# two equations in x and y
3# the value of complete expression y-x^2 - x

St 1: y = -3x. one equation, two variable. INSUFFICIENT
St 2: y = -4x-4. one equation, two variable. INSUFFICIENT

St 1 & St 2: two equation, two variable. SUFFICIENT

Option C
