I think that the column, number of 2 point field goals made, includes number of field goals and each field goal is worth two points.

Under column 2-point field goals , number of goals are given and each goal carry 2 points. That's why we multiplied it by 2, isn't it?
So total points from 2 -point field goals= 2696*2= ~72% of 8245.

Give kudos if you like m explanation.
