What will I score?

Hi guys,

I’m studying for the GMAT an the test day is mid February.
My question is: starting from 530 and following the 3 month advanced Magoosh plan, in your opinion how well, more or less, will I be able to score? On average, by how much the final result increases in these circumstances?

Since I have not joined 3 month advanced Magoosh plan, I would not be able to answer your query regarding the course. But there is a lot of scope for improvement from GMAT score of 530 if you are consistent in your preparation and follow a study plan.

First of all your question "how much can i improve from 530 in 3 months" is an open ended question. There are people who have scored very high score in less than 3 months and then there are others who have scored less than their target score even after preparing for more than 3 months. So, its all up to how well you prepare and how much you learn rather than how long you study.

Second, Magoosh is one of the best test prep companies for GMAT, so its safe to say that if you follow the plan sincerely you will achieve your target score.

Unfortunately, there is no way to properly answer that question. Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores - and with a Mid-February Test Date, you have given yourself that time, which is great! How effectively you spend that time - and how committed you are to learning and practicing the proper Tactics - are two of the big factors that will determine how you Score on the Official GMAT (and we don't have any of that data yet).

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) Have you done any studying so far or are you just beginning your studies?
2) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for this first CAT/mock?
3) What is your overall goal score?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
