Let, Average of 59 students = x

Total of 59 students = 59x

Total of 60 students = 59x+45

Average of 60 students = (59x+45)/60

now, x- 0.2 = (59x+45)/60

60x-12 = 59x+45

i.e. x = 57

sum of 59 +45/60 = x
and
sum of 59 /59 = x+.2
sum of 59 = 59x+12 ~11.8
so
59x+12+45= 60x
x = 57

Let x = the average weight of the 60 students (including the student who weighed 45 kg). Thus, the original sum of all 60 students was 60x. When the student weighing 45 kg left the class, the revised sum was (60x - 45), and the number of students decreased to 59. Noting that 200 g = 0.2 kg, we have:

(60x - 45)/59 = x + 0.2

60x - 45 = 59x + 11.8

x = 56.8

Therefore, the average weight of the 60 students (including the student who weighed 45 kg) is 56.8 kg and the average weight of the 59 students (not including the student who weighed 45 kg) is 56.8 + 0.2 = 57 kg.
