Hello,

Urgent help needed!

7 days to go for my exam. I am scoring 660-680 in mocks .
I am struggling to find good CATs for practice.
Looking at shortage of time, should I go for GMAT club tests bundle or MGMAT CATs ?
Any other suggestions are really appreciated.

Please suggest !

Thanks and Regards

Hi

GMAT Prep CATs have no comparison with any other Company, it is the only best source to check you current prep. status there are total 6 CATs 2 in GMAT Prep, 2 in EP1 and last 2 in EP2 but still if you are looking for other sources than Manhattan is the second choice.

Good Luck

Thank you so much for quick response!

I will look forward to GMAT prep 3,4,5 and 6 tests.

Any suggestions for GMAT 404 questions bundle?
if I can manage the time, is it good to go ?

GMAT Prep is the best option. 100% recommended before exam.
Don't look for any other options at this stage. This will help you stay focused & well prepared.
Good Luck..!!!

Any additional practice is always good.

You have just 7 days & about 4 mock tests; keep in mind you need to analyse these mock tests.
Identify your weak areas & work on it instead of just practicing without any analysis.

Stay focused..!

With 1 week left, don't pick up non-official sets. As others have already said give gmatprep and do analysis of your mocks .

In 1 week nothing much will change in terms of concept , hence focus on error logs yo identify the pitfalls and analyze older mocks as well. Don't try too many things and become exhausted by the actual GMAT day.

Hi kunalkrishnatrey,

From your post, it sounds as if you're considering taking lots of CATs during this last week. Unfortunately, that is NOT a good idea.

A CAT is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to learn the necessary Tactics and put in the proper practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not.

In addition, the process of taking (and reviewing) a CAT requires a significant amount of energy and effort - and takes time to 'recover' from. This is one of the reasons why you typically shouldn't take more than 1 CAT per week - and your last CAT should be taken about 1 week before Test Day. By taking multiples CATs in the week right before your Official GMAT, there's a risk that you will experience some 'burn out' on Test Day (and that is something that we want to avoid).

1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Are your practice test scores close to your target score? If not, I'd keep some of this official material for a retake.

I agree that the official GMAT practice exams will be enough for you; however, I do not suggest taking 4 exams in 7 days, as you will need time to decompress between exams and analyze the results of each exam. That being said, what is your GMAT score goal? If you are not hitting your score goal on these CATs, do you plan to push your GMAT to a later date?

Also, you may find it helpful to read this article about taking GMAT practice tests.

Hi kunalkrishnatrey,

A week before your GMAT, it is best to stick to the official CATs as they are the most close representative of your actual GMAT performance. However if you are particularly looking to identify and improve on your weak areas in Quant, doing GMATCLUB tests would be good.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Stick to only official gmat material.
Official Gmat mocks 3 to 6 and 404 official questions are the best options.
