Hi

I have used the 2 free GMAT Prep test from GMAC. I have about 45 days to go for my GMAT, I need more tests to practise. Need suggestions as to buy the GMAT Official Test 3,4,5 & 6 or the Manhattan Test Series(6 tests).
I believe both wont be possible to do within this time. Need suggestions hence

Thanks in Advance

Hi GMATforsure
You should definitely go for the Gmat official tests.
These are closest to the Gmat and will help to know your exact preparation level and good for practice.
MGMAT tests are the next best to official Gmat Prep tests.
Hope it helps.

Hi GMATforsure,

The most realistic CATs available are the 6 from GMAC (the 2 free CATs, and each of the 2 that come with Exam Pack 1 and Exam Pack 2), but the CATs from Kaplan, MGMAT and Veritas are all 'close enough' to the real thing that they will provide you with a relatively realistic score assessment (assuming that you use the CAT correctly). Thus, you should be fine using any of those CATs.

It's worth noting that a CAT is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to learn the necessary Tactics and put in the proper practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not. As such, you really shouldn't take more than 1 FULL CAT per week.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your continuing studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) What is your exact Test Date?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT official tests beat any other test series as they follow the same score assessment system, same test platform and similar level of questions as the actual GMAT test, allowing you to experience GMAT as it is. In case you exhaust these GMAT official tests, and you are looking to take more mock tests, then choose Veritas tests as most other tests are either too tough and predict much lower scores or too easy and predict higher scores.

Hit Kudos if my answer has helped.

Hi,

MGMAT and Veritas both are great to gauge your current level. Will update you about expert global's test series as well(soon enough).

Keep EP 3 and 4 till the end.

Regards

The rest of the GMATPrep tests would be perfect for you. That being said, I suggest you do not take those tests until you’ve fully developed your GMAT quant and verbal skills. What was the score from your last practice exam and what is your goal score?

Good luck!
