I took my GMAT twice this year - first one early this year 680 (Q 49, V33, IR 7) and then the 2nd one yesterday with 690 (Q50, V32, IR5). I've cancelled both but I'd like to reinstate one score to send. I'm struggling to choose because although 690 is a slightly higher score, it has a lower IR score. Which one should I reinstate or make sense to reinstate both?

Some advice and perspective would be very helpful. Thank you very much!

Hi usernametest,

Q50 - 87%le
Q49 - 77%le

V33 - 69%le
V32 - 67%le

So looking at Quant and verbal percentiles, Q50V32 is a much better deal because of 10%le difference in Q50 & Q49.

As schools do not give much emphasis on IR as long as it not very low. you're good to go with IR5.

You do not need to invest $50 twice. IMO, Reinstate 690 (Q50, V32, IR5). And yes - congrats on good score

Thank you so much for the kind reply. What you said makes a lot of sense and I was just not sure how valuable the 2 extra point of IR is compared to the slight bump of Q score. But your breakdown is very helpful. Thanks a lot!

I agree with the previous comment...go with the highest overall score, the 690. Impressive Quant score! Your IR score will not be an issue. Make sure you submit stellar written materials though to show your verbal/communication skills.
