Line x − y = 18 can be re-written as
y = x - 18
i.e. a Line with Positive Slope i.e. Option A C and E are OUT because we have a fixed line
Y-intercept is -18 @x=0 i.e. Line definitely crosses through III and IV quadrants
i.e. Line will not pass through II quadrant
CONCEPT:
- A line with +ve slope always passes through I and III quadrants
- A line with -ve slope always passes through II and IV quadrants
- A line with +ve slope always passes through I and III quadrants
- A line with -ve slope always passes through II and IV quadrants
Please draw the graph of line for absolute clarity on this question

x - y = 18 which means x cannot be negative alone which is a must for the second quadrant.
