Hello everyone,
I was invited to interview with HBS for their 2+2 program. However, my GRE is very low at a 300. However I have a 3.0 GPA. I am a Black Male from the inner-city with a wealth of internship and community service experience. Though I was invited to interview, should I believe that I have a solid chance at HBS? Should I retake the GRE before they release final decisions? I'd appreciate any thoughts.
Dear
mrperseverance,
Thank you for sharing your profile.
Since HBS has called you for their 2+2 program, they definitely see a spark in your profile and you need to bank upon that. Yes, your GRE score and GPA is well below their average, but your internship and community service experiences, along with an impactful Interview (I am assuming you have given one) might do the trick for you.
In my honest opinion, you should aim to retake the GRE, get a higher score and submit the same within the deadline of release of final admit decisions.
Do feel free to reach out to myself or my colleagues at CrackAdmission in case you seek any support / guidance with regards to your application.
Cheers and Best of luck.
