Hi all,
Please help me out of the dilemma here. I was admitted to Boston Univ Questrom 1 month ago with a full tuition scholarship, and got waitlisted by Wisconsin. Suddenly, last Saturday, Wisconsin offer me admission, with a fellowship that covers the cost of 1st year tuition, and they say for 2nd year almost 100% receive a TA or GA to cover tuition + stipend (no promise). Now I really dont know what to choose:
BU Questrom:- Pros: Guaranteed renewal of scholarship (stay above 3.0); dual degree MSDi that gives me STEM designation (better chance at finding job?); and of course, located in Boston, which beats Madison in any day.
- Cons: Expensive living cost; worse reputation (?); career center is not as good (from the reviews); too many better schools in town.
Wisconsin:-Pros: Better reputation; Good career center (100% placement in Market Research, my specialization); much cheaper cost of living.
- Cons: No guarantee of next year (small chance I can't find a GA/TA position); no STEM.
What do you guys think? I have only a small time window for making decision, and I'm so divided right now.
