In many ways when you were joining a business school it's like you are marrying into a family. And Yale is extremely focused on having a tight-knit family. So they care a great deal about who they are inviting into it. Someone who's graduated from Yale understands the culture and they want to nominate people who will preserve that culture. So it's really a fit factor.
