How much $ are people getting? Is it enough to even make a dent in costs?

see townsky and sblade, we really were in good shape all along. Haha I knew it when I wrote that (if you believe that, I would like to sell you some beautiful ocean front property in Kansas) - Anyway, congrats. The delay made the whole thing that much cooler -

I like to think they were handcrafting our letters, weighing out each ducat of scholarships, then interrupting the Dean during his evening meal or approaching him in his study, smoking jacket adorned, for a personalized signature. All of which pardons the late delivery.

Congrats to all those accepted! And my best wishes to those waitlisted.

For those dinged. Dust yourself off and try again. Tenacity pays off, I tell ya.

Cn someone please explain to me why people get dinged after an interview and why some who don't get interviews get wait-listed (I am WL by the way). I mean if you were competitive enough to get an interview doesn't that mean that you should get a better decision than those who weren't invited at all.

I'm not just trying to undersand it for all school...cuz it confuses me..i need insight.

My best guess, and only because this happened to friends of mine at other schools, is that for some reason the AdCom thought your application wasn't enthusiastic enough about SOM. In other words, they thought that you had your eyes on Haas, or Tuck, or Kellogg and that you thought of SOM as a backup. You otherwise fit the profile of the school, but they thought you weren't serious enough about the school, so they, in turn, waitlisted you as a backup. I can't say this for sure the situation, but this is my hunch.

Does anyone know the class profile going in to the MBA program? I see what comes out here:

https://mba.yale.edu/MBA/careers/employment/salary.shtml

but I do not see the class composition BY INDUSTRY (what jobs people had pre-MBA) just this data:

https://mba.yale.edu/MBA/students/class_statistics.shtml

its been interesting to see the class profile going in vs. what comes out and it would be extremely helpful.

thanks!

Has anyone received their official letters? Also is it safe to assume that if there was no mention in the admit call or the message online, that there's no scholarship?

I'd assume that that's correct. Those who've received money were notified in their call. I've read that Yale also gives a lot more money on the back end (through loan forgiveness) than they do up front. They are looking to change that, but we shouldn't expect that to happen this year.

Anyone hear back from SOM adcom after submitting additional materials for wait list? Is it correct to assume that majority of the movement in the wait list will happen on May 17th (R3 decision date).

Truth. Yale was admittedly a backup for me and after taking a second look at my application I think it was clear I wasn't as enthusiastic about SOM as I should I have been. I'm glad I'm in at Tuck, but after learning more about SOM and interacting with alumni I wish I would have ranked it higher on my Consortium application.
