The first question has a maximum response length of 150 words; the other three have maximum response lengths of 300 words. Applicants must respond to all four questions. The questions are: 1. What prompted your decision to get an MBA? When did you realize that this was a step you wanted – or needed – to take? (150 words maximum) 2. Describe a difficult professional decision you had to make. What were the consequences, and what, if anything, did you learn? Would you make the same decision again? (300 words maximum) 3. The e-mail also says that most invites have already gone out and some may be extended in coming weeks. I think they are done extending more than 90% of the invites.

That yale email on R1 update almost stopped my heart beat. For a minute I thought it was a ding email Alas the wait continues. I am already moving on to my R2 apps now. What about you all?

That's interesting. The email I got didn't mention anything about % of invites extended. I guess they have different emails for different applicants depending on what stage of the application process they are in.

I got the e-mail as well. Do note that the specific wording was actually "all Round 1 decisions will be released by December 13, 2012." Not on December 13. So technically, they could dole out acceptances/dings on Dec. 12th or earlier.

Are you sure? That is extremely weird. Exact e-mail received by me is Since we're coming to the end of November, we wanted to give you an update on your Round 1 application to the Yale School of Management. At this point, most interview invitations for the round have been extended. Since we're still in the midst of reviewing applications, additional invitations may go out in the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience. In terms of timing, all Round 1 decisions will be released by December 13, 2012. If you have any questions during the remainder of the admissions process, please don't hesitate to email.

Did you check your Junk Emails?

Just received the email - at 1240 . Same information - that most R1 interview invitations have been extended.

I haven't had my interview yet, but it's scheduled for next week - the email I received thanked me for scheduling an interview and had the same line about decisions being released by December 13.

Received the same email thanking me for scheduling my interview. I freaked out and thought they were going to revoke my invitation. I am way too jumpy.
