Experience during the program

I had a great experience at BITSOM. The program was structured to balance academics, leadership, and personal growth. The diverse peer group and collaborative culture really added value, and the courses were taught by highly experienced faculty who combined global perspectives with practical insights.

In terms of my goals, I was looking for a program that would sharpen my business fundamentals while also helping me build a strong network. BITSOM met those expectations, especially with its focus on leadership skills and exposure to real-world problem solving.For future applicants, I’d suggest being clear about what you want to get out of the program. Participate actively in class and group activities—the more you give, the more you’ll gain. Also, make use of the career development resources early on.

BITS School of Management (BITSoM), located in Mumbai, is a promising new entrant in the Indian B-school landscape. Backed by the legacy of BITS Pilani, BITSoM is already carving a niche for itself through its modern curriculum, global faculty, and strong industry orientation.

✅ What’s Great:
Curriculum & Pedagogy:
The course structure is contemporary, with a focus on leadership, critical thinking, and practical business skills. BITSoM offers flexibility in electives and emphasizes learning beyond textbooks through capstone projects, case studies, and simulations.

Faculty:
A strong mix of global faculty from top schools like Wharton, Kellogg, and NYU Stern, along with seasoned Indian academics, provides a well-rounded learning experience.

Industry Connect:
The school’s industry immersion and mentorship programs are noteworthy. Frequent sessions with CXOs, masterclasses, and networking opportunities help students stay industry-ready.

Campus & Facilities:
While BITSoM is currently operating out of a world-class facility in Mumbai, a permanent campus is in the works. The infrastructure is modern, with collaborative learning spaces and access to excellent resources.

Student Culture:
Since it’s a relatively new B-school, the community is tight-knit, ambitious, and actively involved in shaping the institute’s future. There’s a strong sense of ownership and drive among students.
