A place of academic rigor, warmth, and opportunities

This review is for Emory Goizueta

Program One-Year MBA

Class of 2026

Experience during the program

Goizueta has become my home - a place that challenges you while embracing your individuality, and always making sure you're taken care of. I came into the program as an international student with 8 years of experience in marketing, hoping to strengthen my analytical skills and data-driven mindset. So far, I can say with confidence that I have made breakthroughs in both of these areas, thanks to the classes I've chosen and professors who really stop to make sure you're understanding all the material.

One year students like myself always joke about the intensity compressing two years work of course work into one year, but in reality, it really isn't that bad. We completed our core classes in my summer semester and were caught up with the two-year students by the time they returned for the fall semester. We were even able to squeeze in a super fun and educational trip to Copenhagen after our summer semester to learn about the Happiness Blueprint of the Danish people.

About professors, classes and curriculum

I love all my professors and have a few of their numbers saved on my phone! Most of them received their degrees from top tier universities in the country, with extensive industry experience. They are always there to answer questions you have regarding the course work, whether inside or outside of class time. Many of them have also expressed the sentiment that once we've taken one of their courses, we're their students for life. How incredible is that.

Courses are varied and although we don't have concentrations strictly speaking, you can definitely tailor your course load to reflect your career interest. For me, I wanted to strengthen my analytical skills to apply to my marketing career, so I took a bunch of data analytics courses combined with some cross-discipline classes in finance, strategy, and marketing.

About job placement process

Goizueta has a robust network of connections with top employers in the Atlanta/Southeast region, including MBB, top consulting firms, Coca Cola, Visa, Google, etc. There are two career fairs a year where MBA students can meet alumni from these companies, as well as smaller panels and workshops throughout the year that help you get connected.
