I brought the e-gmat verbal course after taking the trial. In short the course is pretty awesome :)
SC - The meaning driven three step approach is very methodical. If you understand the approach, SC will be lot easier. I have been able to improve my accuracy greatly as a direct result of following the three step approach. The OG solutions are a real bonus
CR- Pre thinking or Predictive answering is the backbone of this course. This approach helped me both in CR and RC. CR was my weakest area when I started prep and this course has helped me a lot.
RC - I am a reader - so didn't have much problem with RC. The application and practice files in RC are of very good quality.
Scholaranium - Absolutely amazing product! it has pretty advanced analytics built in to pinpoint your weakness and strengths.
Last but not the least - amazing customer service.
All in all, for non-natives this is an excellent value for money!
I have greatly benefitted from the e-gmat quant live course. Below are some of the features of the course which I particularly liked -
1. The course is very well structured and divided into modules by subject area. You can learn them at your own pace - suits me particularly given my work schedule.
2. Each course has a quiz at the beginning and at the end. They are timed quizzes (similar to Scholaranium) - which helped me a great deal in building pace/stamina for the main exam.
3. Lots of practice problems ... I don't think you need any additional practice. The part that helped me most is there are a lot of higher difficulty 'intimidating' problems with very detailed explanations.
4. Although I come from an engineering background, I am not good at probability and permutation combination. This course simplifies the concept - and teaches very simple methods to solve those problems
5. Live Sessions - I think this is the one of best features.I went through the recordings for the live sessions and the problems solved in those sessions helped me to increase my score level.
6. Last but not the least is amazing customer support :)
Kudos to Rajat, Payal and team for putting the course together!
I took my test on October 3, 2015 and scored 750 (Q50 V41) and am extremely thrilled with my score.
In my previous attempt on August 1 2015, I scored 690 (Q49 V34) and signed up for the Verbal Live Prep course with e-GMAT.
The course is very detailed and provides us with a framework to tackle all areas of the verbal section. During my previous attempt, I was never really confident while attempting the verbal section, especially CR. SC was one of my stronger areas, however, the VLP course at e-GMAT, with its emphasis on meaning analysis, ushered in a unique methodology to solve SC questions. This unique method of attempting SC questions not only reduced my error rate and time but also boosted my confidence when it came to the actual test. Believe it or not, I was actually able to 'pre-think' a potential answer for an incorrect sentence. The PoE (Process of Elimination) technique ensured that I thoroughly went over all the options and was confidently able to select the correct option and move on.
The pre-thinking step in CR, in my opinion, was a God-sent. Following the steps laid out in the videos and the application of the process taught by the faculty ensured that I was in the right frame of mind during the exam was able to turn one of my weaknesses into my strength. BF questions were always my Achilles heel, but after learning the process and applying the steps to solve these questions, I can vouch that the 2 BF questions that I got on my 2nd attempt were completed in about 3 mins and I hope that both were correct.
Initially, I had some reservations with the RC strategies and the process as I felt that I was getting most questions wrong and spending too much time on each passage. However, I persisted with the 7 strategies and applied them to all my RCs on the actual GMAT. The results are there for all to see. I am not sure whether I saved much time but I was able to use the PoE and arrive at the correct option in most cases.
Lastly, I'd like to commend the work that has been put into the Scholaranium tool. I used Scholaranium extensively for practice and honing my skills after each session. The questions were varied and unique. In sections such as RC and SC, I felt that the actual GMAT questions were a lot simpler than the ones that I practiced using Scholaranium.
A big thank you to the entire e-GMAT team for instilling the confidence in me and helping me get over that final hurdle. Also, a big shout out to the VLP faculty (Payal, Neeti, Krishna, and Shraddha) for explaining the concepts and demanding that we stick to the process in order to achieve our target scores. When I applied for this score, my expectations were to reach a score of 720 - 730 range. However, I have gone above and beyond those expectations and hope this score will yield calls from some top universities.
During my first GMAT attempt, i was self studying, using Manhattan material. I think material is good if you are already good at understanding grammatical jargons, but didnt help me much . From GMAT CLUB forums, I came across e-GMAT COURSE, I believe that one of the best Verbal course. E-GMAT VIDEOS explain each and every concept so well that in few weeks my accuracy improved.
Pool of questions available for practise creates GMAT like experience. You have enough questions to test your weak area and topic to work on.
I strongly suggest that anyone who is struggling at Verbal, must try e-GMAT course. Take my word, you wont regret!
Want to improve Verbal section in GMAT !! - E-gmat Verbal Live Prep course is the one you should be looking for !! The strength of e-Gmat lies in the verbal section for non-natives. Though I didn't sign up for quant, but I can surely vouch for Verbal Live Prep course. They have a very different approach as far as solving verbal questions is concerned, and has helped me a lot to understand the concept .The sessions have been immensely helpful.
There are many other courses but I doubt that one would get such a detailed explanation or analysis of a question as one would get in e-gmat course.Along with some concept videos and live sessions, they also offer a plethora of questions to practice from.I would suggest you to try their tutorials/trials to see if they meet your requirements. But as far as my feedback is concerned, eGmat is worth a shot !
Hi,
I must begin by thanking Rajat and Payal for designing this amazing course. When I began my GMAT journey I remember struggling a lot with Sentence correction. Initially I started with manhattan but could not absorb much as i felt the book is designed for native users. Being a non native I was on constant search of some material which can give me the proper knowledge and direction that i was searching for. I attended their demo session and was blown away by the methodology of teaching, the way they explain the concepts and instantly I purchased the SC course and seriously it was a breath of fresh air. After some diligent handwork my accuracy shot up from 40-50% to 85% as now i was able to logically deduce the meaning of the sentence. I would recommend this course to all who are looking for some serious learning for GMAT. Lastly I would like to thank the entire team of eGMAT for their constant support.
just a quick return of experience on EGMAT Verbal live prep product.
I heard about EGMAT on GMAT club, and I quickly understood that this course will be adapted for me. Leaving far from a big city, working a lot (as everybody), the online lessons are very well explained and detailed. The e-learning process is really adapted to my actual life: can be followed on Iphone at the airport, or on laptop at hostel room ...
As non-native speaker, it has been a challenge for EGMAT to make me understand all concepts :-)
I hope a good improvement in my gmat score at the end of the month.

Despite my engineering background, I learnt a lot in the QUANT section with almost no effort :-)
I hope a good improvement in my gmat score at the end of the month.
I was a re-taker who had earlier taken GMAT in April 2014, when I joined e-GMAT in May 2015. More than a year had passed and I wanted to start my GMAT preps from the beginning. Based on reviews provided in GMATClub and after attending some of the live sessions offered by e-GMAT, I decided to join e-GMAT. The three things that make this course special are:
1. The clear-cut strategies for every question type it offers.
2. The course structure, which takes the student from the basics to the advanced level
3. The proficient instructors it has for delivering its live prep courses. Instructors who are good at handling online courses, with several participants and still not compromising on the quality of the course.
In short, E-GMAT live prep course is for anyone who wants to follow a structured approach in their preparations. This course does what it promises to provide and is a really great course for those aiming for decently good score in GMAT.
I got a 650(Q48, V31) in my first attempt. I wanted to better my verbal score. I looked around for the best verbal course and finally settled for Verbal Live Prep by E-GMAT. I am a non-native speaker, so it was important for me to have a course which gets into the weeds of how to identify errors, group answer choices and use the process of elimination to get to the right answer. This is a 3 step process and nobody perfects it better than E-GMAT. They have got very skilled instructors - people who have graduated from some of the top colleges in India and have beat the GMAT. They know the GMAT game.
I was able to improve by verbal score by 2 points to a 33 and scored a 680(Q49, V33). I could have better utilized the resources if I had more time off from my very demanding job. Anybody looking to get better in the verbal section, needs to subscribe to E-GMAT's verbal course.
