Nisha Trivedi Reviews

Company: mbaMission

Nisha Trivedi earned her BA in communication from the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. A deep interest in understanding the consumer inspired her to initially pursue a career in marketing research, and after college, she held positions at Time Inc., Rosetta, and KPMG LLP in New York City. A desire to transition into brand management led Nisha to Ross, where she was an active member of the Marketing Club, organizing mock internship interviews for her peers during her first year and serving as the club’s vice-president of communications during her second year. After graduating with her MBA, Nisha worked for several years in brand management in San Francisco at Big Heart Pet Brands (now part of The J.M. Smucker Company) before joining mbaMission. She most enjoys creating brand positioning and crafting tailored messaging that speaks to consumers’ needs, which is a skill she applies in helping her clients “market” themselves to their dream MBA programs. Nisha also has a longstanding commitment to philanthropy—she has been a volunteer team leader for New York Cares and now sits on the board of directors of The Shanti Project, a San Francisco–based nonprofit that enhances the health, quality of life, and well-being of people with serious illnesses.

Nisha is THE BEST!!!!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I would recommend Nisha to anyone applying to business school! I worked with her on a 2-school package. Initially, I was incredibly overwhelmed and intimidated by the application process. However, Nisha's calm and friendly demeanor eliminated much of the stress. She was very responsive, always willing to jump on a call and listen. Nisha was also very organized, helping me to stay on track and prioritize particular aspects of my applications.

Nisha asked curious and intelligent questions that helped me articulate my experience and goals in a thoughtful way. Most importantly, she really listened to my questions and concerns. She supported me every step of the way. When I was accepted to my top school, Nisha was the first person I wanted to tell!

Using MBA mission, especially Nisha Trivedi, was the best decision I could have possibly made for MBA admissions. She knew exactly the steps needed and what to expect from the entire process. I do not think I could have gotten in without her help. From brainstorming to essay writing to the interview, she kept me informed every step of the way and ensured I was as prepared as possible. She was not only knowledgeable but showed a deep interest in my success. Because of MBA mission, I got into programs far beyond what I ever expected. I am very thankful.

Highly Recommend!

My first encounter with Nisha was through one of mbaMission’s free online workshops. I was quickly drawn to Nisha’s bright personality and her passion for helping applicants realize their MBA aspirations. As I listened to Nisha present, it became clear to me that she had extensive knowledge of the application process and experience working with many different types of candidates.

Shortly after the session, I decided to purchase the Start-to-Finish package and I’m so grateful that I chose Nisha as my MBA consultant. Right from the start, Nisha provided great insight into the application process and worked with me to come up with a detailed game plan for my applications. I was very impressed with how much time and effort Nisha put into getting to know me and understanding my background as well as my motivations for pursuing an MBA.

Nisha always came well prepared to our discussions and it was very easy to have an open conversation with her. I really appreciated how Nisha pushed me to dig deep and self-reflect on my experiences, helping me to make the most of my stories. She gave targeted feedback throughout the essay writing process and was extremely responsive, answering any questions that I had along the way. Nisha was also incredibly helpful in my interview preparation; she advised me on the different types of interview styles that I could expect to see and ran me through mock interviews that closely simulated my actual interviews. Practicing my stories with Nisha and incorporating her feedback helped me feel confident and much more comfortable during my live interviews.

Overall, Nisha far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend working with her to any applicants beginning their MBA journey. With her guidance I was able to get into one of my top programs and I can’t thank her enough for all her support throughout my applications!

Best in the business

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I had a frustrating start to my application season, I hired another major consulting firm for Round 1 and struggled significantly to work with my consultant. I turned to mbaMission and Nisha for Round 2 and everything changed. She immediately identified some obvious gaps in my materials, laid out a timeline, and helped me through each step. Her response time was near-immediate on every draft, and she calmed me down so much from my previous state. The hourly service was perfect and I felt like I got even more from her than the comprehensive package I had previously. I got into an amazing school with a large scholarship and I know it's due to mbaMission. All of the free materials alongside the service were super helpful too.

Having gone through this with two major companies I can say confidently that Nisha is the best in the business!

mbaMission: Nisha Trivedi

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

As a first-timer, I felt that applying MBA was like losing my direction in a grand blue ocean, and then I got the help from mbaMission.

Nisha did a great job in helping my self-exploration. With MBAMission’s systematic approach, Nisha helped me explore my stories of successes and failures, and identified the key elements that bring up a strong application. She also helped me spot mistakes that I made in the essays and CV, avoiding elements that would confuse the readers or lead to unnecessary criticism.

With Nisha’s support, my stories in the application become more compelling, and I was admitted to Judge and Said with bursary from one of them. This totally exceeded my expectations and I am truly grateful for having Nisha’s support along the way!

Accepted to top 3 B-Schools

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I worked with Nisha mostly on writing my essays for 3 top B-schools (HBS, GSB, and Booth), I found her guidance and help very valuable, as we started with a structured approach on how how to determine the theme of my essays, molded each essay into each school's format, and kept me on track on important details one should include on these essays, I would've otherwise not included.
Nisha was very knowledgeable about the project I needed to create, and also very flexible about making sure I could guide the project to keep it my own.
In the end, I secured acceptances to 2 B-schools and I was placed on the waitlist of my 3rd application. I am sure Nisha's support greatly helped me submit a much stronger application.

Fuqua Reapplicant success story thanks to Nisha

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

I decided to work with an MBA consultant after been waitlisted from Fuqua in Round 3.
It wasn’t an easy decision as it represented an important investissement without any warranty of success. I knew getting into a top bschool was necessary to give me the career change I was seeking (PMM in tech) and I didn’t want to have any regrets about not putting all the chances on my side.

I shopped around the different consultants and enjoyed my first interaction with Nisha. She quickly understood my background and profile and gave me some convincing suggestions on how I should market myself. In addition, MBAmission seemed like an excellent firm with handy resources.

During my time with Nisha, she helped me understand my previous application's deficiencies that got me waitlisted. She helped me select the experiences and achievements relevant to build a clear and coherent profile true to me. She was always very responsive, organized and available when needed. She gave me great feedback and guidance on my essay and interview practices.

As a result, I got accepted at Fuqua – my top choice, where I got waitlisted the year prior.

Thank you, Nisha!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I cannot thank Nisha enough for her guidance throughout the entire application process. I say with confidence that working with Nisha was the best decision I made.

Nisha was quick to respond - faster than prescribed - which I found extremely helpful, given the tight timelines for application. She has always been kind to provide guidance/ clarification via email or phone call whenever needed, even outside her normal work hour.

Also, Nisha has a special skill for understanding the heart of an applicant’s story, which, I believe makes her edits crisp and insightful. Her questions/ feedbacks helped me craft interesting stories and highlight unique aspects which I had not thought of.

Lastly, during the mock interview, Nisha provided very detailed feedback on each question & answer. She also asked/ helped me prepare for questions that were not in the mbaMission guidebook – which I found really helpful!

Overall, I am thankful for being able to work with Nisha. I am glad that I met her to get into my dream school – top tier MBA program.

Fantastic Experience!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I cannot say enough positive things about working with Nisha and mbaMission - highly recommend to anyone seeking to gain admission to a top MBA program!

I wasn't initially planning to use an admissions consulting service, but I decided to give mbaMission's free consultation a try (who doesn't like free things?). After reading through all of the consultant bios, I chose to work with Nisha since her professional experience most closely aligned with my intended post-MBA career plans. After exchanging a couple of emails, I sent Nisha a copy of my resume for review -- while I was impressed with her responsiveness, I was still skeptical that I would get much out of our session. BOY WAS I WRONG! As it turns out, Nisha not only provided me with valuable tips and tricks, but she walso asked the right questions to help me better articulate my accomplishments. I knew within the first 15 minutes of my consultation that I wanted to continue working with Nisha throughout my application process.

I ended up purchasing an hourly package so that I could work with Nisha as I drafted my essays. For context, my essay drafts were in decent shape at the time we began working together, but Nisha really helped me get to the point where I was telling my own story in a unique and engaging way in each essay. I appreciated that Nisha did not try to "change" my story or put words in my mouth that would make my application inauthentic, albeit stronger; she provided insightful suggestions on how I could best articulate both my story and my goals.

Nisha also provided invaluable guidance on what each school was looking for in the essays in terms of the topics/themes to address. I probably would have ended up with very different (read: weaker) essays had we not had those conversations. I really appreciated Nisha's ability to provide strategic direction when it came to the content of the essays, as well as her attention to detail (e.g, grammer, word choice) when it came to proofreading my final drafts.

Additionally, I was very impressed with Nisha's quick turnaround time and the depth of her reviews -- she usually sent comments and suggestions within 24 hours of receiving a draft. We exchanged several drafts of each essay (average of 3 essays per school, I applied to 5 schools) in a relatively short time frame so that I could meet all of the RD1 deadlines. I was also very impressed (and pleased and thankful) that Nisha was able to clear her schedule ,with very little notice, to help me prep for my first interview (which came weeks before I was expecting to hear back). She walked me though a mock behavioral interview and then spent a significant amount of time debriefing my performance and giving me frameworks to make my responses stronger. I was able to apply those framworks to confidently answer every question thrown at me during my interview!

Ultimately, I gained admission to each of the MBA programs* I applied to w/significant scholarships. I have no doubt that Nisha played an integral role in strengthing my application and making it stand out.

Thank you, Nisha!!

*Applied to Tuck, Darden, Fuqua, Johnson, Stern

Pleasure To Work With!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Nisha was a fantastic partner in the application process from start to finish. In our second virtual meeting, we talked through a questionnaire aimed at translating my best experiences into an attractive admissions story. Nisha was great at bringing the storyteller out of me. As I work in investment management, I needed a sounding board to determine which finance jargon to leave in and which to omit in my essays, resume, and interview prep. Nisha helped me strike this balance. I initially chose to work with Nisha because she herself had gained admission to my target school and she is intimately familiar with the program. I did not know what to expect working with an MBA consultant – this was an incredible experience from start to finish!
