TTP Review - Definitely worth the investment

Strengths:

- Breadth of questions
- In-depth theory on each question type
- Analytics and ability to work on weak points
- Chat function and ability to easily clarify doubts with anyone from TTP team.

Would make the product better:

Personally felt - that there could be a few SUPER ULTRA hard Quant tests to prepare for 805+ level questions that come on the GMAT.

Honestly, TTP is worth the investment. I started my GMAT prep by using free resources, but then you waste so much time figuring out what is the best resource for you.

Signing up for TTP removes those worries. It also prepares you for every single question type that could possibly come on the GMAT - that I believe is the USP. It completely removes all doubt and apprehension of being underprepared.

If you complete TTP properly and extensively - you should have a very good chance at a high score.

Also I reached out to Scott/Jeff for more tailored advice regarding my worries and issues on the actual GMAT exam - and they almost always responded within 24 hours - which was very beneficial.

Strengths:

Target Test Prep does a fantastic job of breaking down every concept related to GMAT prep to the granular detail. Target Test Prep makes no assumptions about what you know, which helps you catch your blind spots unlike other tools. For example, Target Test Prep taught me how to organize Rate and Distance problems into a standard table. This may seem obvious to some, but this tip helped me ace every Rate and Distance problem I encountered.

Would make the product better:

It may have been user error, but I could not figure out how to randomize practice problems. Target Test Prep provides more subject tests than you could possibly need in your prep, but when you complete the tests, you know what skill is being tested. I needed to improve recognizing what type of problem was being asked. I practiced this using old GMAT resources. It's very possible this feature was available at the completion of the full training plan (which I skipped some parts of despite the constant recommendations not to!)

If you're serious about improving your GMAT score, Target Test Prep will guarantee improvement. My first practice test I scored 1st percentile (315 overall) and ended up with a 100th percentile score (735 overall) thanks to Target Test Prep resources. You will not run out of practice problems. Every concept you need to know is explained in excruciating detail - including how you should be organizing your work as you take the test. As I did more and more practice tests leading up to taking the GMAT, I would review what type of problems I struggled on and then would revisit that specific Target Test Prep section. Target Test Prep also keeps track of what problems you've struggled on - which I'd recommend you use as a pre-GMAT review guide before taking the test!

I recommend purchasing the 6 month package - I started studying in February 2024 and took the GMAT in August 2024.

Review of TTP in my GMAT FE journey

Strengths:

- Very well structured course covering all the aspects Of the curriculum
- Lots of practice available.
- Explained all the concepts in detail
- The tools to bookmark and taking notes are specially handy in revision.

Would make the product better:

The course is very comprehensive however it can include some webinars/videos on how to solve various types of questions.

I have been working in Oil & Energy industry for last 5 years in India. I wanted to do MBA to expand my horizons and hence i started my GMAT preparation. In total I prepared for 3 months. I increased my score from 645 (my mock) to 705. A large part of it was due to TTP which helped me understand the concepts in detail and practice a lot so that I am very well prepared for my GMAT attempt. The study plan, practice questions and quizzes are very similar to those asked in the actual exam which helped me be ready for the actual exam day.

I would reccomend TTP to anyone wanting to sit for GMAT as it is one of the most comprehensive course available.

Strengths:

Strengths:
1) In depth concept explanation
2) Variety of questions
3) Difficulty categorized question
4) Really good UI to track the progress

Would make the product better:

1) More questions for Data Insights section
2) Verbal can be intimidating as they have lot of sub categories under each topic.

TTP flexi prep course is really game changer if you are starting from basics and don't have any conceptual knowledge. It is really in depth course which teaches things from very basic to the advanced level.

The best part is the sectional quizzes after each module categorized as easy, medium and hard levels question type. They also have a bookmark and highlight feature which makes it really easy to revise the concepts. I highly recommend TTP to anyone starting a fresh and have very basic conceptual knowledge.

PS: I was very lucky to have won 1 month of subscription during the GC Olympics.

200+ Point Improvement with TTP

Strengths:

The quantitative sections of TTP were beyond helpful for me. I hadn't taken a math course in over 8 years, but TTP's plan built my knowledge and confidence up gradually over the course of the program.

Would make the product better:

TTP has so much content and practice problems but I would love a few more full length practice tests to be included in the package. I ended up buying the extra practice tests from MBA.com

When I took my first practice test without any studying I placed in the first percentile in both math and data. Fast forward 4.5 months later and I was able to achieve 88th and 96th percentile in those sections. TTP isn't easy. The course took longer than I expected. I studied for multiple hours a day, 6 days a week for 4 months straight, but the payoff is worth it. TTP is comprehensive and in many ways harder than the actual test so that when you take the exam problems seem less challenging. If your first practice test score is way below what you'd like, it's not the end of world. If you're dedicated and follow the curriculum through a provider like TTP you can boost your score by hundreds of points.

Great structure and super exhaustive course

Strengths:

Pretty exhaustive, which is always good when you’re starting out from scratch
Chat is fairly responsive as well
Custom practice creation tools and consistent planning of your modules

Would make the product better:

The exhaustiveness of the course is a double edged sword, can result in longer prep time

A helpful and a super informative course. Really helped me boost my confidence and helped me with working on my weaknesses- especially for quantitative and DI. For Verbal, it really helped me understand the nuances and traps that GMAT typically lays out. Given the lack of DI content available generally, TTP’s content is pretty close to the real deal.
If you feel you are close and the course is about to expire the team also helps with generous extensions.
All in all, had a pretty good experience- however, if you’re short on time I’d recommend you be tactical with how you approach TTP

Strengths:

Thorough lessons that allow you to move quickly through topics you understand better and take your time on more difficult topics, tons of practice questions especially in the Quant section, helpful explanations for every question

Would make the product better:

A larger question database for Verbal and Data Insights would be nice

I came in with a strong first practice exam score but wanted to maximize my score before applying to graduate schools. I used this course for about 2 months, 2-3 hours per day. I was able to skim topics I knew well already and really hone in on the topics that were most difficult for me. Ultimately, I finished the course in about 6 weeks and used the rest of the time to take practice exams to help simulate the testing environment. I ultimately scored in the middle of my practice exam scores and improved from a 675 at the beginning to a 765.

TTP has a very well-covered curriculum

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Course Target Test Prep Dedicated Study

Strengths:

Target Test Prep offers one of the most well-rounded courses for GMAT prep. It's quants coverage is very thorough - tackling the smallest of nuances and variations in question types that show up in the actual exam. The format of questions is very much in line with the OG format and helps gain comfort with the variety of questions.

Would make the product better:

The course could build a bit on the data insights section - the concepts are covered well to tackle the question types but the practice tests could be made slightly more competitive.

When I started preparing for GMAT, I had started with the OG quants book and dove head first into the questions with no plan. After a week of practicing questions with no target in mind, I gave a mock and scored a 615 in an official mock. I realised that a dedicated study plan is needed to increase the score so I did some research to see if there are ways to figure out the plan and I came across TTP and it's 5-day trial gave a completely new approach to how I should prepare for the exam. Since then, I stuck to TTP and it has been instrumental in my score jump from 615 to 715.

Exceptional course for high GMAT Scores!!

Improvement 100 Points

Course Target Test Prep Maximum Learning

Strengths:

Structural textual based learning
Lots of practice problems
Organised error tracker
Quick response by the team on queries

The best part about TTP is the study material is text based, and every chapter is carefully structured in such a way that concept buillding happens from basics to advanced level. Along with textual description, each lesson has a set of example and practice problems (apart from a huge number of chapter tests), so that we can understand the application of concept learnt in the lesson.

Verbal section was my weakest and I had very little confidence in improving my verbal ability score before using TTP. With the help of clear concept explanations, combined with a lot of practice problems which are very much close to real GMAT level, I was able to improve from 45 percentile to 84 percentile. For each chapter in verbal section, along with the skills to identify the correct answer, TTP also focuses on ways to identify the wrong answers, which was a game changer for me in improving my accuracy drastically.

Quant and Data Insights sections are very thorough, and there are plenty of diverse easy to hardest problems, similar to real GMAT problems. The amount of practise tests made sure I was ready to face any kind question. I eventually scored a perfect 90(100%le) in Quant and 82(93%le) in DI.

The team is highly responsive in answering any queries I had related to preparation strategy, clearing confusion in concepts, or providing detailed explanations to some tricky hard questions.

I highly recommend TTP course if you are looking for a comprehensive and flexible study material combined with a large number of practice problems.

Program is very expansive. Potentially some topics were stressed significantly more than others.

This product is strong in its curriculum being both very thorough and easy to use. I never had to spend time figuring out what my weak areas were nor what I needed to study next. This was incredibly useful because my current job is very demanding and when I initially tried to start studying for the GMAT, I found myself in an analysis paralysis. TTP changed this by the aforementioned directed and structed study program. I thoroughly believe that this program is worthwhile not only because of these aspects, but with the vast amount of questions that I was able to form into tests that would allow me to review topics I knew I needed more work on.
