Verbal: a repeatable method that raised my floor
Verbal improved from a V79 to a V81, and what changed my approach was the pre-thinking methodology in the Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension courses. Instead of reading an argument and jumping straight to the options, pre-thinking trains you to work out what you are actually looking for first, then evaluate the choices against that. It made my reasoning far more deliberate and far less dependent on gut feel, which is what a consistent Verbal score really comes down to.
The data analytics that guided all of it
Underneath every section was the data analytics, and it is what kept my prep honest. It tracks your performance down to the question type and the difficulty level, so instead of guessing where I was weak, I could see exactly which areas were costing me points and aim my study time there. That precision is what let me turn a broad 120-point climb into targeted, section-by-section gains rather than scattered effort.
A few other things that mattered
Beyond the headline features, a handful of smaller things added up. The course structure builds each topic in order and makes sure you have actually understood one concept before moving to the next. The sheer variety and volume of practice meant I rarely saw a repeat, so I was always being tested rather than memorising. And the whole platform ties practice, analytics, and review together, so every question I did fed back into knowing what to work on next.
If I had to sum it up: the Data Insights course alone would have been worth it, but paired with high-quality Quant practice, a real method for Verbal, and analytics that tell you the truth about where you stand, e-GMAT is what took me from a 545 to a 665.
