Hello Every one,
I am a doctor and i want to do an MBA. Here is the brief over view of my profile
My Profile-
Undergrad- MBBS from not so prestigious college.
Have good Percentage.
Worked as a medical officer post MBBS at a corporate hospital, later started General practice in my town for 3 years.
Did MD in Psychiatry from a prestigious college.
Got selected for central medical services and currently working as a medical officer-
roles- predominantly administrative to oversee the admissions and drug dispensing for central government employees.
Established Psychiatric OPD and has been running that ever since.
experience in this role 3.5 years currently.
Other experience-
I am involved in the management of a nursing home and hospital.
Has been associated with NGO running de addiction center, the role is as consultant and as administrator.
Has been associated since my under graduate days with NGO working for disability welfare and women empowerment.
Has been advisory board member Pharma giants Jannsen and Lundbeck.
Has been medical advisor for Banafur pharma.
Regular speaker on national television and radio shows
Professional speaker at Multinational companies.
other roles-
Worked as joint Secretary doctors association
reviewer Telangana journal of psychiatry
Presented papers at various national and international conferences in Psychiatry
Gmat 1-560
gmat 2-650
retaking gmat by next month
post MBA goal-
Actually planning for a career shift from a clinician role to complete managerial role.
want to work in health care /pharmaceutical sector as a manager/consultant
i am currently 34 years of age partly because my duration of education is lengthy

Here at ARINGO, we work with 2-4 doctors every year. we usually see two types of doctors - ones who just finished their degree and feel they never want to be doctors or doctors who have a few years of medical experience and are looking to change their careers or move into healthcare management. in both cases, we need to explain to the MBA programs admissions how your "medical experience" (for example - working in a hospital or a clinic with patients) is relevant and significant professional experience. The way we do this at ARINGO is making sure we have clear career objectives that connect to your past (for example, to the reason why you went to medical school in the first place, or to your volunteering or hobbies or background, etc.)
