The argument is based on the premise that seeing the revealed data collection will stop people from using some services. It pretty much means (1) people care about their data; and (2) they don't know how much data is actually collected.
From this analysis, we understand that the only suitable answer should be B.
A is contradictory to evidence; C is out of scope as we don't care about the reason for not adopting it (companies must comply); D is too general, as major companies are just an example; and E is a general recommendation that doesn't have much to do with the fact cited in the prompt.
