Hi Guys,
This is my first post. I have given a mock GMAT test a month ago(
MGMAT) and got 590 (42Q 30V) and then i analyzed that i had to improve quite a lot considering i am aiming at 710+. i focussed on my weaker areas and gave the test again(
MGMAT)recently to realize i got a 660 (50Q 31V). I have 2 weeks for my actual test and though i have practiced over the last two months - just sitting through the test is making me feel exhausted. As the verbal section pops up - i just want to get it done ( I am losing the focus and letting an "i dont care attitude" in) and ofcourse i wanna fix this. Also, RC is my biggest problem area ( Similar experience in reading lengthy paragraphs) i am an active reader and read plenty of novels, this is the first time i am experiencing something of this sort. Would appreciate any kind of help as i wanna give my best on first attempt of GMAT itself. (scheduled in 15 days)
Thanks,
Akhila
Hi Akhila,
The GMAT Prep tests are the best predictors of your score.
I would recommend you to take a GMAT Prep CAT as soon as possible and based on the score you can decide on rescheduling the GMAT.
If the score falls in the same range as now, I would recommend you to reschedule the GMAT.
Regarding rushing through the Verbal portion, just keep one thing in mind Verbal is the part of the test that has the momst impact on your score.
And if you are neglecting it, then you might not be able to hit your target score.
Also, this shows that you have not sat for enough mock CATs and as a final recommendation, I would advise you to reschedule the test and take few CATs, so that you are not fatigued during the test.
