Hello Everyone,
Wish you the very best for the admission season and hope each of you can crack your dream B school.
As far as Emory is concerned, I got an admission to the 2 year program back in 2014 and over the last two years had the privilege of assisting applicants in their Emory Goizeuta application. While we wait for this year's essay topics, below is a quick debrief of the topics from last year :
#1 Define your short-term post-MBA career goals. How are your professional strengths, past experience and personal attributes aligned with these goals? (300 words)
R : This is basically an explanation of X+Y=Z, where X is what and where you are currently ; Z - your goals (short) and Y is the missing link provided by Emory
#2 : Leadership essay
R : This is can be a professional or a personal experience and the outcome might have been +ve or -ve. However, the essence of the essay is the context in which you displayed leadership, the impact, your learnings and your leadership style.
#3: Complete one of the following statements. (250 words)
I am passionate about…
The best piece of advice I’ve received is…
The best day of my life was…
A personal goal I want to accomplish is…
This is the most creative essay out of the lot and the objective of the essay is to demonstrate to the admission committee a personal side of you, and the characteristics and values that drive you.
#4: Share with the committee and your future classmates a fun or noteworthy fact about you
R : This is sort of an ice-breaker question, and implicitly requires you to talk about something that hasn't been covered elsewhere in your application.
