Great going Prasanna from 440 to 640. It does take grit to accomplish this score improvement. And thank you for sharing your experience. I know how important it is for everyone to know that preparing for GMAT is not an easy task. More often than not, students feel that they are the only ones who are facing problems. So, your debrief will be a shout out to those individuals, indicating that they are not alone in this phase.

That being said, I would like to offer unsolicited advice with regards to how you can go from 640 to 700+. In fact, I would say don't settle for 700 - set your eyes on 730+ score. Read this article to learn why.

I just now wrote a reply on this thread. A lot of what I recommended to him also applies to you. So, do review my response here. Furthermore, your verbal score V34 is exactly what Jim scored. Now obviously, your score combinations could be very different from Jim's. That being said, I would want you to look at his debriefso that you can draw from his experiences and accordingly get on the path to that 730+ score.

Do let me know if you need help with creating your personalized study plan.

Good Luck!!! That's a huge improvement to go from 440 to 640. I have gone from 540 to 750 and it was a huge effort. It will be a tough climb to 700's but doable. We have had a small number (select few) who managed to get up to 300-point improvement mark but it took some dedication!

In any case, congratulations on this intermediary step!

Prasannathawait I know how it feels after someone crosses his/her mental barrier. Kudos to You. Remember the Poem by John Greenleaf Whittier

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is strange with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a failure comes about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell just how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit—
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
