Hi Linda,

Thanks for showing interest in my proile.

I wish to pursue career in Consultancy post my MBA. I believe I have good analytic skills and my current role is tech-consultant for Accenture but I dont want to limit myself to that and move in other areas of consultancy.

Thanks,
Lucky

Lucky,

There are different kinds of consulting obviously. But many of the top strategy firms will want to see a 700+ GMAT. So if you are aiming for those kinds of jobs, you should consider a retake, focusing on improving your verbal score.

If you don't want to retake the GMAT, then consider UNC, Texas A&M, Indiana Kelley, Purdue, and UC Irvine.

Best,
Linda

Lucky,

Yes a 3.5 AWA will hurt your application. I don't know if it will keep you out of these programs, but it does hurt.

Best,
Linda
