At Top100MBA.Club we work with candidates from all kinds of backgrounds who want to make an impact in the world of Business.
One of the candidates I enjoyed working with the most was this music composer lady, who wanted to take her compositions inspired from traditional Indian music to international heights and her key motivation for doing an MBA was to start a music academy in France where she would teach traditional Indian music to French students.
When you talk about an MBA from France, it goes without saying that schools like INSEAD and HEC Paris come to mind. But our candidates GMAT score was below average for these programs. Coming from a non-quantitative background she had after 3 attempts to the GMAT managed to peak at 690 managing only a Q47 and was frustrated with the GMAT and didn't want to take any more attempts.
We decided to apply to INSEAD and HEC Paris both, with this lowish GMAT score and with the weakness in mind, put a lot of emphasis around her MBA motivation in her applications.
Given her non-traditional background, we tireless worked on perfecting those essays around the magnitude of impact on cultural exchange between the two countries it would have if she could pursue her dream.
The result? Both INSEAD and HEC Paris gave her an admit with decent scholarships (Euro 20K for INSEAD and Euro 40K for HEC Paris).
And that was one more dream, succefully achieved for us, thereby giving us these bragging rights!
