Hi shahmeer,

Congratulations! A great score! Would like to know if you you facee any issues any technical issues while taking online GMAT practice test? In my case, the questions on the platform are not uploading. Have tried with different machines, tried unblocking cookies and pop ups, but it is not helping. Please share , would be a great help!

All the best for your application s!

Congratulations on your excellent score!! a great debrief as well.

Can you explain your strategy or anything different you did to jump from GMAT prep 2 score of 700 to the actual GMAT score of 760?

Also how much was the time gap between those two scores?

Thanks,
GyM

GyMrAT I took my last mock on Saturday and I had my test on Monday (So 1 day gap). I did not study at all on that day. However, I was expecting this kind of a jump in my score since while attempting the mock, I knew that this isn't the real GMAT so I really wasn't as attentive as I was on the actual GMAT. Most of my mistakes were careless mistakes. On my actual GMAT I was super focused and made sure that I do not make a silly mistake.

Congratulations...!!
this is great story. Moreover, I also have started with the same scores as you had.
So, reading your story has quite inspired and made me more hopeful of gaining a good score.

Thanks for sharing the debrief.

Hi

Can you please provide the number of questions that you have received in SC, RC, CR in your final exam.

Also, how much time you have taken for each RC?

Thanks,
Kalyan.

Hi Kalyan,

The exact number of questions in each Verbal category (RC, SC and CR) can vary a little from person to person on Test Day. GMAC released the following information on the approximate number of questions of each type that you will see on the Official GMAT:

RC: 13-14 (over 4 passages)
SC: 12-13
CR: 9-10

PS: 17-18
DS: 13-14

Since this is your first post at GMATClub, I assume that you're currently studying for the GMAT. How long have you been studying? When are you planning to take the GMAT?

Hi Kalyan,

Since December 8th is just 4.5 weeks away, if you're looking for broader advice or specific suggestions, then you might want to start a new post-thread of your own (so that the discussion can stay focused on YOUR situation - as opposed to piggy-backing on this thread where other discussions are already taking place). If you can provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals, then I'll be happy to answer any questions that you might have.

Ah this is very helpful information, EMPOWERgmatRichC! I knew there are typically more RC questions than CR questions but did not know the typical range of questions for each type. Thank you for sharing!
