Nope. They are spread out. 4 are wrong in first 20.

Then i believe they have a different algorithm, they might have given importance to last few questions as well...

But you prep better reflects from gmat prep score so dont worry.

Two reasons have to take in account to your question:

First of all forget about 800 score: verbal is really really bad and math more or less the same.

Secondly: even if the score will be better than gmatprep, worst or equal is not important at all, completely.

WHat counts is the official software. that's it.

Moreover, we have reasonable doubts that the official software in its algorithm is a bit, slightly different from the real exam...........but on this nobody can be sure 100%.

Have to agree with you on the quality of questions of 800Score. How does MGMAT compare to this?

well maybe mgmat and veritas are the best company out there but after months I have become skeptical to use the strategy: the more a question is difficult (compared to the original material), the more I will score well.........

My opinion is this, pretty straight: has more value an OG question than 50 from prep company ( I apologize with Karishma for this; it is only my stupid opinion) simply because GMAC spend millions of $ to prepare a test. This effort can not cope by a prep company, though huge and important such as veritas or mgmat.

OF course this not imply AT ALL that material from those companies is awesome to study. I do not want to be misunderstood.

Hi all,

I wanted to know whether the scoring algorithm on 800Score tests is different from the Actual GmatPrep's algorithm and if it is reliable. I recently gave 3 tests (1 Gmatprep, 2 kaplan) and scored 47,50,48 respectively in Quant with around 15 mistakes but on 800 Score with 12 mistakes I got 39. I'm wondering if this actually reliable as I just can't believe that I scored so less. What are your thoughts on this. I do know that it depends on that difficulty of the questions but a 10-12 marks difference between the two with 3 fewer mistakes ? Something is wrong..

I took 800 test last week and perhaps their algorithm is not the best but it's not the worst either.

In the first attempt, I scored Q38 but on a repeat I scored Q49 and that's not because of the same questions but, infact, because of the difficulty of questions. At max I saw 5 to 7 questions from the first attempt. Rest were new and more difficult.
