A book publishing company released 100 books last year. Three-fifth of the released books were fiction and all the remaining were non-fiction. 20% of fiction has at least 350 pages. And 80% of the non-fiction has less than 350 pages. How many of the released books has less than 350 pages?

A. 12

B. 20

C. 32

D. 48

E. 80

Friction books= \(\frac{100*3}{5}\)=60

Non-friction books = 100-60=40

20% of fiction has at least 350 pages which mean 80% of friction books has less than 350 pages

100%= 60
80%= \(\frac{80*60}{100}\)= 48 books of friction has less than 350 pages

And 80% of the non-fiction has less than 350 pages

100%=40
80%=\(\frac{40*80}{100}\)=32 books of Non friction has less than 350 pages

The number of books he released books has less than 350 pages=48+32=80

Total books= 100
3/5 of 100= 60 are Fiction
20% of 60= 12 have atleast 350 pages
So, rest 80% or 60-12=48 have less than 350 pages.

2/5 of 100=40 are Non Fiction
80% of 40 = 32 have less than 350 pages

Total books with less than 350 pages= 48+32=80
