Hello, good people of GMAT club,
I would like your perspective on a decision I have to take. I have currently received two offers, ESSEC (with a partial scholarship) and ESADE (scholarship decision awaited).
Here is my context:

I would like your perspective on a decision I have to take. I have currently received two offers, ESSEC (with a partial scholarship) and ESADE (scholarship decision awaited).
Here is my context:
- Worked in the Indian deep tech startup space across drones, blockchain, and AI for about 8 years. I'm currently working as a marketing and communications consultant with VCs here.
- Post-MBA goal is to continue to work in deep tech but out of the EU or the UK as a product manager or as a Business Development Executive.
- I'm open to working in enterprises or startups.
- Which school would be better for the above goal?
- My heart says ESADE because of the city and the curriculum but my mind says ESSEC because of the ROI (cheaper and one year). However, I'm confused about Spain as a post-MBA destination and ESSEC in terms of tech-related employment.
- I'm also waiting on Warwick and ESMT to get back to me with their decisions but by the time they do get back to me, it would be too late to apply for loans for either ESSEC or ESADE.
PS: ESMT is missing from the Tags list!

Congratulations on both admits! Before I share my perspective, please note that it's my own viewpoint, and yours might differ. Regardless, both schools are brilliant, so whichever you choose, you'll be in good hands.
Between ESSEC and ESADE, I believe ESADE would be a better choice. Your work country choice is a bit ambiguous, but working in France with no French knowledge is more challenging than working in Spain without Spanish knowledge. Why? Because France is predominantly French-led, with a majority of communication in French. Regardless of the job, your French knowledge in France will provide you an edge. That said, if you have decent French skills, go for ESSEC. Spain has a welcoming culture, making it easier to interact with Spanish locals even without Spanish skills. Not implying you don't need Spanish skills to work in Spain, but it's generally more international student-friendly than France based on my knowledge and observation.
Your choice of the UK as a work country is more challenging. The international landscape is increasingly competitive in the UK. I graduated from Warwick myself, so I know it's a highly competitive market. If you believe you're up for the challenge, regardless of the school you choose, you'll be okay. The visa sponsorship market is more competitive now, so tread carefully.

Thank you so much for the reply. Your input about the UK is very interesting and I didn't know much about the ground reality since I was focussing on the ease of moving there.
On another note, I'm also leaning towards ESADE. I guess if the school's strength is more in tech than any local economy-based disadvantages can be negated.
