Between A and C, i believe C as it reduces ambiguity and maintains parallelism with the "that"

noone has ever answered this question properly. If anyone can, please helpon this matter. thet change the meaning if answer choice A. So what? who says the original meaning is the one provided in answer choice A?
maybe "a majority" is incorrect? and it just should be "majority"?
