Eliminate options D and E. They change the meaning by using "the majority"
]
noone has ever answered this question properly. If anyone can, please helpon this matter. thet change the meaning if answer choice A. So what? who says the original meaning is the one provided in answer choice A?
maybe "a majority" is incorrect? and it just should be "majority"?
Posted from my mobile deviceIn this case, what majority refers to is not a number of fish caught, but rather the number or type of overfished species out there.
Let’s say there are ten types of overfished species: catfish, cod, tuna, salmon, mackerel, tilapia, trout, swordfish, mahi-mahi and barracuda.
By saying majority, what you end up implying is that these casual anglers catch more than say 7 types of the fish above but not necessarily that they are catching a lot of each type of fish
By saying a substantial number, you are logically referring to the fact that casual anglers are catching a higher number of overfished species rather than the different types of overfished Speicies.
Hope that makes sense!
