Probability of hitting target = 0.8
I.e. Probability of NOT hitting target = 1-0.8 = 0.2
Probability of making through = 1 - Probability of failing in all 8 rounds
Probability of failing in all 8 rounds = \(0.2^8\)
I.e. Probability of making through = \(1 - 0.2^8\)
Answer: Option B

Probability of making through the first round = probability of hitting the target at least once in 8 shots of the first round = 1 - probability of not hitting the target in 8 shots of the first round = 1 - (0.2)^8
