sarcophilus congrats!! some really really big brands huh!!
Alright!! lets keep this simple!! if i had money and still under 32 , i would reapply to M7 this fall and defer Ross for a year and still carry that scholarship with me.
if no money && Age > = 32 take Ross - Fully Financed and still a strong program. Moreover you have a better football team than M7 so you will have something to cheer for in the Cold Michigan rather watching it snow in Boston/Ithaca.

So just on a preliminary level...is being able to say “I attend an M7 school” worth $150k (at least)?
Because from the sound of it, that’s what you care about most.

Congratulations on your admits!
It is a tricky question. Can you make a difference in your applications for the next year? Are you and your recommenders willing to go through this again? Are you willing to take a Sloan/Booth/Tuck at sticker instead of Ross? Would you take those if you had an option this year?

Ross has broken through the Top 10 and has been on the rise. Seems like a great program, esp at zero cost. I would probably take Ross unless you are looking at a very specific industry/career that only Wharton or Stanford for example offer.

Congratulations!!!

Hi everyone,

I currently have a couple of full ride offers to schools that are well respected (top 10-15), but not considered M7 tier.
On the other hand, I interviewed at and was waitlisted at a couple of the M7 schools this cycle.
Given that I got close this time, would it make sense for me to re-apply this fall, or am I being an idiot by not taking the full scholarship and being happy with it?
I am curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Hello sarcophilus

Congrats on admission

You are being idiot for not taking the full scholarship ;) :)

Honestly.

I can see many recommended to you to choose Ross, but I am not sure I would choose Ross over Cornell at all.

Cornell is Ivy league, period.

However, I agree with everybody that you should absolutely take full ride.

And I am glad that Forbes agrees with me :) :

Bloomberg based rankings on surveyed 26,699 MBA students, alumni, and recruiters, as well as compensation and job-placement, Cornell is on 11. Ross on 19. place :

FT kinda get's it also :) :

I personally would rather go to Cornell, although Ross as choice is just fine, but both giving you full scholarship is awesome.

Good Luck :geek:

Hey everyone!

Thanks again for all the help! I actually got an unexpected call this morning that I was admitted into Chicago Booth!
