Dear Team,

I have got an acceptance letter from Oxford MBA Batch Sep 2021. I have great package here in India and I am bit concern about the career opportunities afterwards. Although I know the brand value of Oxford is huge, but still want to know whether I will be able to get a decent job afterwards and should I go for it.

Feddy171 :- Congratulations on the admit. Oxford is of course great. Though no one including the college can guarantee a placement post-MBA. As they say, the college is not a placement agency. With Brexit, and Corona you never know what lies ahead.

Also, I wonder, didn't you think of these questions before applying for MBA? In fact these are the very basic questions one needs to think of doing the introspection for the application process, like why do you want to do an MBA, why Now, your short-term and long-term goals, and why Oxford etc.

In any case, All the very best with your future, whatever you decide.

Two motivations for getting an MBA are (1) opening up career doors that might not have previously existed by virtue of having a graduate degree and (2) building a network of friends and connections who can help you along your career. Yes, you do incur a risk by leaving your current role to pursue higher education, but you should have confidence in yourself that you will be able to land a fantastic role after completing your degree, particularly at a prestigious institution like Oxford. If you work hard, stay focused and network, you should be well-positioned to land a terrific job, which in turn will help accelerate your long-term career.
