Is there going to be a transcript? I totally missed it, actually doing work today.

Me too.
*Okay so I'm not actually working today. But. The little bit of work I did do today was during that chat.

Kwam - also big thanks to you!

BTW, my general observation is that Booth students are extremely responsive (even if you look at this Forum - post and immediately 2 great answers). But more importantly, Booth Administration is the best ever. My experiences/observations so far: queries re application - immediate replies; issues with on-line application - solved within 1 day; processing of documents in on-line app - within a day after documents arrived; Christmas break - AdCom works and hosts a chat to help R2 applicants; R2 deadline - Rose posts a message that AdCom is there for the candidates and will be replying to emails/calls, etc. Overall - amazing customer service. Overall - very impressive.

You're welcome.

Got a call from my Booth buddy (yay).
New info:
1) They're looking into getting a shuttle from downtown to/from the Harper Center for the admit weekend.
2) They're looking into blocking off rooms in certain downtown hotels for Admit weekend attendees. They'll apparently keep us posted soonish...

cheers,
ac.

I have been so impressed by Booth's recruiting efforts. Their GSB Live event was so well coordinated, and after having been admitted the contact has been very high touch. I don't know how common this is, but I actually had Rose call me herself last week to have a conversation about Booth. She knew my story and we had a great conversation. She then wrote a professor and had her get in touch with me also. I talked with this professor for an HOUR on a Saturday afternoon (She is incredible).

I used to think that I'd have a tough decision to make between Booth and Kellogg, but now it doesn't even seem like a contest. Kellogg doesn't seem to even care about me compared to Booth. It's weird. Booth, almost full scholarship and tons of contact--Kellogg no money (or delayed? I still don't get their scholarship system) and no contact... not to mention they made me wait until the last day to get admitted.

I'm still waiting to hear from Stanford, but even if I get in Booth is giving every other school a run for their money in my book.

Just wanted to give them a public "Bravo."

I completely agree with you, jcl246. I'm in the same situation scholarship-wise. I entered this process thinking that Kellogg was my top choice, but I have been so impressed by Booth's outreach efforts. Their admissions team has got it together! I haven't heard from Kellogg since my admissions call, and I don't really feel connected to the Kellogg community. I've decided to attend Booth.

Have I told you that your "before salary" was the problem?
Oh, yes I have told you...

I thought that 20k was the max scholarship amount, have they changed? If so it seems that Booth's money is already in play.

Guys the next 2 weeks are going to be CRAZY for me (and the first years), so if you ask something here or private, please be patient.

Kwam, aren't the merit scholarships merit-based, rather than need? Best of luck during your crazy two weeks, man!
