How about meeting at a pre-destined meeting point sometime before the event starts?

The kick-off starts at 6:30pm, right? How about meeting somewhere at 6pm?

So lets be in the Admissions Lounge at 6:00 p.m. I guess the place will be crowded.

From my experience GC is not very common at Fuqua. I was attending a CASE info session and asked few current students whether any of them went by the name of aaudetat on GC :) ; from aau's post on the Duke thread, I assumed that (s)he would be present

To my surprise, I was the only one in that room who had heard of GC.

He was dressing up for the final dinner. Most people were in khakis and dress shirts, but quite a few people had on jackets.

1. Suit was b/c of the formal dinner. The dress code was smart casual - I had no idea what that meant - so suit w/o tie.
2. The admit weekend was awsome I had a blast :-D

Sorry I missed the get-together -- I didn't read GC this week.

I thought BDW went pretty well! Definitely very excited to start in the fall. Bostonsparky, Bob Massie's talk was great. I chatted with him a bit afterwards as well -- very impressed with the guy. On top of everything else he's done, it turns out he's an Episcopal priest, too. (I go to an Episcopal church in Durham.)

I didn't need to be convinced to come to Duke -- I had already sent my deposit in before the weekend started -- but I felt like I left with a better idea of career options and preparation, and it was exciting to meet so many of our classmates. This August is going to be great. ;-)

Too bad, you could have been one of those people who ran to the admissions table at the dinner waving their deposit check over their heads to the thunderous applause of the room. :run

I thought the weekend was very well done too. Duke really goes all out! I didn't really learn a whole lot more about Duke (a few specifics here and there), but it really helped confirm that my initial impressions of the school weren't just window dressing.

The schedule was kinda of interesting. Both Friday and Saturday night had events at the local bars with Fuqua providing transportation back to the hotels until 1 am. However, the events on Sat and Sun morning started at like 8am. There were more than a few people dragging ass.

I didn't have high expectation for the FuquaVision presentation, but it actually turned out to be very funny.

The drunk admit at the end of the dinner who tried to thank the organizers of the weekend but failed to form a coherent sentence was also entertaining.

And I don't know about you guys, but from what I could see the Fuqua Foxes of Class of 2011 will not disappoint! :oops:

Sorry guys, was running late on Friday, and could not log on to internet during the weekend.

FuquaVison was really hilarious, and I found Dean Shephard quite forthright in his observations/suggestions, especially the line "you cannot do MBA for the same reason someone did 2 years back for, so better find your own reason".

After Friday's events, I began wondering whether Fuqua is all about partying, but thankfully, on Saturday we were back to learning :), especially in the Finance class; did anyone attend that ?

Nope, I had my parents fedex it :) They do take wire transfers(not sure the fees and w/e) if for some reason fedex doesnt work out
