Kroll is finally complete and done in just under 4 months! Are we sure they're a private company and not some arm of the DMV? Never would have guessed that I would have an apartment locked in before the verification went through, but either way nice to be done with one more element.

PS: I am an R2 waitlist, just want to analyze what are the chances that my waitlist will open :)

as far as I know, it was may 7th, so it already passed. And the decisions are going to be released tomorrow. I believe most of us, the R2 Waitlisters, will know the final result by tomorrow. I can not think of waiting a few months more to get my result.

Hey can some of the current students comment on the state of recruiting at Wharton? I hear that is has been hit particularly hard, being a finance school. I hear some people even have to take a demotion(vs their role prior to b-school) just to get a job in banking. Is that true?

I am IN... got an email to check my status and I am in..i filled out the matriculation form confirming my intention to attend. Anyone know how soon I will get the pennkey access? I opted to mail the deposit..will i get the Kroll package after they receive the deposit?

Congrats and Welcome!!!

You should receive the pennkey within 10 days after the deposit is received I think. I filled out the form and paid at the same time so not totally sure how that works for you.

Kroll does not depend on the deposit, I think it depends on when the Wharton admission staff submits your info to Kroll. You will receive an email when that's ready.

I wonder what is taking Kroll so long....

My sense is that it's more your employer than Kroll, but I could be wrong. The day after my employers faxed back the Kroll forms, I got my verification completion confirmation.

zoinnk did u see the form? what were they asking in the form? my HR doesnt provide any info besides that I am employed from blah time to blah time..

Thanks Falibay..one quick question, I read here that kroll faxes a form to your employer...do you know whats asked in that form? my HR doesnt confirm anything other than my date of employment..so I am wondering If I need to call someone in HR to answer those questions..

They will send the form that you sign, which authorizes them to request salary and stuff. Many companies don't allow that, mine included. In that case, Kroll will request pay stub/W2 to prove your income. I had to go through that but that was fairly easy

It was..

man..I know..but I hate waiting..I cant take this work I do..i need to either find something interesting to do for a year or take Wharton..

there are many plus points to waiting..namely..I can wait out at work and get a severance package..will be enough to pay for first year of school..so thats a huge consideration..but then I am 28..turning 29..and I dont want to be too old for HBS..
