Hi Experts
I am 39 year old IT male . I wrote GMAT yesterday and scored 710 (Q 49 , V 37) - could have done better but did not get sleep for more than 2 hrs the previous night due to anxiety . Anyways , i dont i have energy left for a re-take given my work pressure and other responsibilities . Let me admit that i dont have much idea on MBA programs that are within my reach and hence this post
Some background:Started working in IT industry right after B.Tech degree ( from one of the IITs ) - ~ 16 years of work ex .However , since last 9 have been doing product development ,handling duties ranging from leading global design to leading teams of softwares deployments across industries and countries . To be be frank , i have been pretty satisfied with work thus far as things are way challenging when you work on products that is sold/implemented globally and drive the standards. The urge for an MBA came when i started to further myself in product management space and realized that whatever i have learnt or I am learning is through informal knowledge ,own experience and inputs/feedback from peers and is not structured . Hence in short term , goal is to learn management in formal/structured way so that i can be successful product manager . Long term goal is to launch our own products successfully (own venture) - though we have technical expertise/excellence at hand but from go to market strategy, sales, long term success perspective it seems an uphill task without intensive immersive MBA education
My preference is MBA from Canada as it offers easier path to immigration . I am not sure if i stand a chance with any Canadian MBAs or have i already missed the boat here ?
Which other options (except US) can work ?
Your advise and inputs will really help
