[A] Seems to convey that it was a one time activity that happened in the past and no longer happens.
[B] Addresses the situation, whenever the Amphibians move in and out of water, there are harmones that adjust permeability of their skin.

[B} has S-V issue, harmones - adjusted
So B,C,E all are out.
Out of [A] and [E], E is out as a relative pronoun should be followed, after a clause that is used to define a noun.
